Mount Merrion

Mount Merrion is a suburb in the area of Dublin that is about 7km south of the city centre. It is situated on and around a hill with the same name.

Shopping
Mount Merrion has two shopping centres nearby: Dundrum Town Centre, which includes H&M, Calvin Klein, Marks & Spencer, Boots, TK Maxx, Penneys, and Tesco and the Stillorgan Village Centre including Donnybrook Fair, Starbucks, Tesco, Natural Bakery, Ecco, and Dubray Books.

The town itself has some cafes and restaurants such as: Union Café, Cafe Divino, The Merrion Tree Bistro, Rocketfoods, Beaufield Mews, Purple Sage Restaurant, – found in the Stillorgan Park Hotel. There are also pubs around the area like: Mill House, Stillorgan Orchard and O’Dwyers.

The main Grocery store is SuperValu on the Rise.  Tesco in Stillorgan Village Centre is also nearby.

Transport
The main road that runs through Mount Merrion is the N11 dual carriageway. It also has many public transport routes, like the Dublin Bus routes: 7b, 7d, 17, 46a, 46e, 47, 116, 118, and 145.

The nearest DART station is in Blackrock and the nearest LUAS stations are Kilmacud and Stillorgan on the Green line.

Schools and Colleges
Mount Merrion has several options for schools nearby like: Busy Bees Childcare Ltd, Mount Anville Secondary School, St. Andrew’s College, Benildus College Secondary School, and Oatlands College. It is also very close to University College Dublin at Belfield.

Amenities
Deerpark is the local park, which has a great view of Dublin city towards the north. The park also hosts the Deerpark Tennis Court. Nearby is the  Mount Merrion Community Centre, which offers rooms for events and other activities like social events, sports activities, classes and more. There are a few clinics a short distance away such as the  Mount Merrion Medical Centre and the Slievemore Clinic. There is also the Glenalbyn Sports Club  and the Odeon Cinema Stillorgan.
